I can only guess why you made the foreground so dark even although there is a mass of detail available, to try and save the blown out highlights The end result has not however improved the highlights, they are still blown! Maybe some copy/past from the surrounding area would subdue the highlights. There again the end result maybe what you were after

Thanks for your excellent commentary but do you know Bob this how it was, it is what I saw

The very secretive and frighteningly dangerous location has very strong legends of “Blaggadry ” and murder attached to it so for me It was added drama to stretch the dynamic range to breaking point.

It is a very magical place

Great simplicity Gower Landscape is only won by an intense moment or by years of intelligent effort.
