Great action photo. I like his look as he follows the ball with his eyes. Nice colours and well managed DOF. Did you crop it?

Very slight, I was on the pitch right behind the posts so had to use the 300mm in portrait, pre-focussed on the ball in manual mode, K5 set to TAV, F4, 1/1000sec, ISO 100-3200.

There's still a bit of luck involved in where the ball is when you fire off the shots, I usually start firing when the kicker lifts his kicking leg by the end of the kick I usually have about 5 photos to choose from.

I liked this one because of the curve through the shot, kicking tee - kicker - ball make a nice curve.
