Light Trails at Rainhill Stoops

This photo was taken today 20 minutes after sunset from a bridge over the westbound M62 motorway junction at Rainhill Stoops, Merseyside (the A57 junction). My major difficulty in photographing the light trails was that, at any one time, one or more lanes would have little or no traffic so I needed to keep looking across the junction towards the East in order to guess when enough traffic was likely to pass in the 3 seconds (for the self-timer) plus the 8 seconds of the exposure.
