What a waste 2
by McBrian
This is what's left of one of the piers of Methil Docks, I once cycled along here when I was a younger, I only did it the once as I was just about launched into the water when my front wheel lodged in the gap between the timbers
In it's heyday Methil Docks was the largest coal docks in the country, sadly after the local mines closed it was left to decay, now it gets the occasional timber boat from Scandinavia and some small inshore fishing boats.

Good strong lines and textures and a poignant story to go with it.
Best wishes,

A fine shot depicting industrial decay which leaves a yearning for more prosperous times in some 'forgotten' parts of the UK.
