Moor-chick

The Moorhen chicks in Richmond Park are getting big quickly (mind you so are the ducklings and the goslings). I think they look a little Jurassic. This one unceremoniously fell off his reed shortly after I took this (and he think he has a sibling lurking in the background)

You're right there Tim - Looking at Moorhen Chicks they generally appear to have a look only their mother could love...
