Front View of Red-Bellied Ladder-Backed Woodpecker - Female

You can see the tinge of red accent on the belly area that gives this Woodpecker it's name.
Adult males have a red cap going from the bill to the nape; females have a red patch on the nape and another above the bill.

I see the females daily...rarely see the males.
