Apotechary Museum
by nonur
Apotechary Museum in Bydgoszcz, Poland, is located at the back of the Swan Apoteka which is still working and making use of old shop furnitures and drawers. It is a private museum, entrance is free and the owner is a very friendly lady. It is also an interactive museum where you can make pills using old instruments on that table in the middle. It consists of several rooms.

I didn't see this one before. The history of the apothecary is interesting.
WIKIPEDIA:
In addition to pharmacy responsibilities, the apothecary offered general medical advice and a range of services that are now performed solely by other specialist practitioners, such as surgery and midwifery. Apothecaries often operated through a retail shop which, in addition to ingredients for medicines, sold tobacco and patent medicines.
Such an old profession--it deserves a museum.
I wonder what the alligator was used for?
The photo makes me wonder about the long history of the profession. It is well-framed and texturally engaging.
