Excellent result from a scene that many people wouldn't even look twice at.
As Tony says, the square format goes well with it.

i would echo David's comment above, most people would not have "seen" the image let alone captured it with such artistic flare and photographic competence; it is so creative reminding me of a "Camera Forum " I attended many years ago called "Learning to see".
Work that is deserved of high commendation.

It's a fleeting glimpse of an interminable story steeped in deep time... rocks formed under long vanished mountains of the Variscan Orogeny 350 million years ago being worn by ice and water, slowly transported grain by grain to the sea. A visual verse of the poetry of the earth 😊

Thanks very much for your munificent comments and enthusiasm 😊 I thoroughly enjoyed immersing my senses in the making of this image: wandering through the shallows and feeling the current; hearing the myriad tones; the rain stick swooshing of the pea gravel underfoot; the unctuous aroma of ancient woodland and the light gilding the rocks beneath the tongue of the rapids. I think, that for me at least, that it's the immersive experiences that helps one to 'see' rather than just 'look' into the landscape.
