I have also recently acquired one of these lenses. It was very hard to remove from my K5 due to the dreaded Ricoh pin. I have just spent a happy (not) hour removing this pin. All seems fine now.

I would advise that you check your lens to see if this pin is present, and remove it before you have a more serious issue.
