Pentax 100mm Macro + ASAHI OPT. CO..TAKUMAR-A 2X TELE-CONVERTER. No cropping of this image. I'm disappointed with the results from this tele-converter! The images are not as sharp as I expexted. Is there a better converter for use with the Pentax 100mm macro.?

indeed, .., the detail is impressive but the sharpness could be better; as for TC, get patient as me and wait for 1.4x TC promised by Pentax for next year

It's certainly an evil looking critter. More than enough detail for the faint hearted

Use tubes as there is no extra glass to muddy your image. get a set with contacts and you keep control of your lens (except zoom).
