I feel I'm not qualified in commenting on landscapes/ waterscapes to be helpful to the photographer, however I really like the composition of this, it looks like part of an oriental garden,for what it's worth I think it's a super shot.

As above I'm no expert but I really like this.

I'm intrigued the Exif data states you took this as ISO 800, how did you manage to loose all the grain. Whatever you did it has given a feeling of richness and contrast that I like.

Thanks both. I think maybe the shot mainly works because of the nice warm light - which adds some richness. Other than that, I guess higher ISO always looks better when there is still some decent light - it would have been noisier if it was darker. My PP was fairly limited:

tweaking levels and curves
using Neat Image plug in for photoshop elements - but set to "only remove half of noise"
some fairly conservative USM
