Bandsman by Fish-Eye!

by Peter Elgar

A bandsman of the Royal British Legion Youth Band who led the runners of both the 3-mile Fun-Run and the 13 mile Half Marathon to the start on Sunday. I used my 18-55mm lens and screwed a Fish-Eye attachment on to it! K10D

The actual lens hood with in the shot works with the image. At the first glance you think it is a reflection from a button.

I think it is a circular fisheye, not a lens hood. The instrument is a Boosey and Hawkes Imperial Bass Tuba. The distortion makes it so I am unsure if it is a BBb or EEb model. Probably the BBb...

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
