I'm going to upset everyone above. I like the shot but the adult pose is spoiling it for me. I assume that it was a candid? Then nothing could be done other than wait and take several shots. The childs stance is perfect for the scene.
Had they been holding hands, well that would have been the ideal shot worth the thousand words.
It's circumstance I know.
