I love bee flies - they're hilarious when they're flying, they look like they shouldn't be able to and remind me of knights on horseback jousting.

Brian, you need to try to get more light on the subject. If necessary use flash, even in daylight.

Also, in macro, perfect pin-sharp focus is absolutely essential. You need to stop right down (F5.6 doesn't give much DoF), and obviously flash will enable you to do this.

hi all thanks for the kind remarks i am new to this and al the pictures you see are hand held ,so i have a lot to learn only had the lens a week so im not doing that bad brian.
