Hi Steve, Nice portrait! The colour of the eyes is lovely, have you enhanced it in any way? Somewhere down the line, there may be a comment about the hand in front, but every photographer will have a different "view" No Exif?

Those eyes are just unbelievable! The hand adornment is a little distracting.

Hi thanks for the comments. As you will have guessed there was quite a lot of post processing carried out on this image and there is also a story behind it.

The picture is of my wife and it was taken in the summer heat of Kefalonia as we waited for a taxi to take us to the airport for the return flight back to the UK.

My wife hates having her picture taken and I must say that the original was not very flattering.

A few days after returning home I was looking through the pictures that I had taken, when my daughter started talking enviously about a set of pictures of some celebrity (cannot remember who) in a magazine that she was reading.
I pointed out that they were not 'real' and that they had been heavily 'photoshopped', at that moment the original version of this picture came up on my laptop screen and I had an idea.

The posted image took about 30 minutes to create as my daughter looked on. I stopped short of the full 'glam' treatment, there is still a reality there, by which I mean that my wife could achieve this look if she wished, by using the wide range of cosmetics avaialable to her. My daughter was amazed at the transformation, best of all it made her feel much better about herself.

As for my wife, she still dislikes the picture, but her friends love it and I have received several requests to produce similar images for them.
