LOL - incredible, it's the 'cluster of 30 pixels' shot I'm always 37000ft too far away from

Cool shot, from the thumbnail I was wondering what sort of enormous lens was used to take this. Didn't realise it was yours

I don't suppose you ever to that 'take a photo while inverted' thing from Top Gun do you?

It was taken from 2000 feet below, while we were both climbing, us to 35000 feet from 33000 and them from 35000 to 37000. It started trailing vapour a few seconds before I took the shot, then stopped, so I was lucky to get the contrail. No inverted stuff I am afraid, wouldn't keep my job for long if I did that!

Ah okay. I always had my doubts anyway as to how much of the Soviet cockpit Goose really would have captured with just a polaroid.

Had a couple of 13 hour sectors in Emirates 340s. What the hell are you flying Jonathon?
