Taken with the DA 300mm in early winter. This is not a very frequent bird where I live, so I was very happy with this shot.

Superb - but how did you manage as we are so frequently told that Pentax af cannot deal with birds in flight ☺

I think the comments about Pentax's inability to handle action shots are made by people who are just not aware of the brand's abilities! The K-1 has come in for a lot of criticism in this respect but it has been proven in this gallery that the claims are just not true!
This shot is just gorgeous!
