All the brick was plastered up instead of being repointed on those chimney stacks and that should not have been allowed by the local authorities.The roofs visible suggest an age gone bye.just an observation bye the way

Of course it could be stone work , on mature reflection. But the same applies.

The age of these properties would most definitely be of local natural stone construction... btw wot's a brick?

The "wet dash render" has been applied as an additional weather proof coating, while it's both strictly not required or essential.

The "wet dash" is not ascetically pleasing . doing a disservice to the buildings of old . Im on my hi horse here Kerrowdown , as its something that should not happen to the builds of yore.

"Wots" a brick ? it has many a form of baking a concoction of varies crushed stone sediments including sulphur dating back to the industrial revolution . a Brick is what people looked up at , before high rise was even a taught
