In the spring the Red Alder tree grows Catkins for pollination. Behind are the seed bearing cones from last fall that are still on the tree.
K20D, Pentax 55-300, Pentax 16-45, Tamron 90 macro.

Thanks for the kind observations. I used my K20d with a Tamron 90 1:1 macro.
