beautiful macro capture here David, .. but I think with this one the use of the TC is redundant; .. IMHO 300 DA* is good enough to render this colour brilliance and detail (likely even more) without any complementary "gadget" ..

Sometimes though they fly if you get too close so the TC does give a bit of latitude. Depends a bit how much you are prepared to crop. Tricky to get the two shots to compare to know really. As you say - it is David's new gadget anyway so we have to try them don't we
Well taken with the sparkle in the wings there.
It looks like one of the variants of a female Blue Tailed Damselfly to me. In fact it looks like a female Scarce Bluetailed Damselfly but they are very rare so I will probably rule that out. I'll get Neil P to have a look - he'll know.
