Dried Hydrangea flower head

I've been experimenting with a cheap old slide copier I recently unearthed from my long gone Father's things. It attaches to my FA50 Macro via a 49 to 52mm stepped adapter and you can slot in slides or film. This image is one I took back in the 1970's using Ilford Pan F 50 ASA B&W film which I developed and then printed myself, I was experimenting with slow film and fine textures and details. I photographed the negative and then used these in camera digital filters: Monochrome, Invert Color, High Contrast. And used GIMP to slightly rotate and crop the image. Manual focused using Live View 'zoomed in' and shake reduction turned off. I'm surprised how well it all turned out. The original image was taken on my old OM1 with a standard lens both of which I still have.

Thanks Donna, it even works well with colour negs converted to B&W.
I've not figured how to get the correct colours from colour negs yet, though I'm sure there will be a way.

Nice. Pan F 50 is a favourite of mine.

Well I've got a 5 metre roll of it from 1982, I wonder if it would still work? And I have some photo chemicals somewhere ... plus I've now also got a ME Super. Perhaps I should give it a go.

I've now managed to get colour negatives to convert correctly. I use an unexposed part of the colour neg film and take a 'Custom White Balance' through it. Then I photograph the colour negative using this white balance, invert the colours and adjust the contrast is needed. All this is done in camera using the Digital Filter functions, I'll post a colour image processed this way.Thanks Donna, it even works well with colour negs converted to B&W.
