Nice. The first I've seen. I quite like it in BR form but I expect a lot of lads won't.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Great image, but to title it 'Train' is an understatement!

Looks wonderful. And thanks for the aesthetic surgery
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

That's a terrific action shot, did you pan or was the movement added later in Photoshop along with the removal of the overhead wires?
As for the appearance of the engine in its operational life of more than 40 years this and other engines of the A3 class were modified several times to improve performance. This is how it looked in the last few years of its working life when it was performing better than ever.
My pictures of 60103, taken at York yesterday will appear shortly.

Actually it's an overstatement as you caught the locomotive, not the train! Pedantic devil! Doesn't it look great in green! Nicely caught!

Sorry David only just seen the comment, but to answer your question it was a panning shot, the best one of the eight that I managed to get. Only photo-shopping was exposure tweaks and overhead line removal ... Oh an a small red blob of a car in the distance. Sorry about the late reply and many thanks for all the comments from all. It was entitled "Train" as the other two pictures I listed were Plane and Automobile
