Taking Pictures
by Fletcher8
A trip in to Leeds today with Fran and my Pentax K7. As the weather was not so good we thought we would check out some indoor photographic spots, this was one of the better ones. I have Tone Mapped it in photoshop to give it a bit more impact but nothing else. I have no idea who the photographer is in the image, but I thought it added a little extra. This is my first attempt with Architecture so let me know what you think, and thanks for looking.

A fine effort. Architectural stuff is challenging, particularly when you're inside and the walls are curved! What a wonderful camera the K7 is (I've never even seen one in the flesh, let alone held one!) Forgive my ignorance, but is tone-mapping the same as or similar to HDR?

Hi Andrew
Thanks for your question! to be honest I thought I would try to HDR an image using Photomatix, but don't really know how to use the programme, as i have just downloaded a trial version. Tone Mapping? Good question, I am not sure, but I don't think it's the same thing as HDR. All I know is that in Adobe CS4 it just gives the images a bit more impact, sorry i can't answer your question fully, but if someone else reads this they may provide you with a better answer. Anyway thanks for looking at my images.

I love all the curves! Have you considered black and white? I think this would make a fantastic high contrast BW image.
