Note the Parallel Lines!!

I was astonished to discover these reflections on a recent jaunt through downtown Toronto. Enlarge this as much as you can to see that, no matter how distorted the elements, the multitude of parallel lines are not disturbed, with few exceptions, but remain parallel!! How did this happen? The answer is that the parallel lines are part of the building's facade, not reflections of nearby patterns. The serendipity lies in the way the various reflected patterns and colours interact with these parallel facade lines, yielding the variety of fascinating illusions you see here.
