'Wotta Lotta Bottle' !

by PeterKR

An earthenware bottle on display at Basildon Park, NT, near Reading.

Apparently this bottle was for Ginger Beer.
The Matthews family had a mineral waters factory from 65 - 71, Elm Park Road, Reading, bottling all flavours of mineral waters, fruit juices and Pepsi Cola (which they delivered to the US Army at Bicester). They mainly bottled and sold Ginger Beerand ceased trading in the 1960s.

Mmmmm, ginger beer!
Such a strong warning on this bottle....seems a bit over the top, but perhaps because it was Army Issued.

(Peter, I must remark again on the quality pics your copy of the 18-135 produces. The one I owned wasn't anywhere near as crisp and had loads of purple fringing CA! Hated to sell it because I loved the range aspects. Your shots have me rethinking trying this lens again! 👍
Cheers...Donna 😊
