So much really nice stuff going on with this shot.

It's very possible that the horizon is correct, but in a photo like this, can we level it in respect to the borders?

I don't know if it's just me but it detracts from taking in the overall scane.

Just my humble opinion of course, after all, I am Canadian.

Thanks both.

Mac, the hill does climb steadily from Quantock park gate towards Will's Neck, the highest point. But I'm notoriousoly bad at getting my horizons straight!

If I were a canadian I should have to live in British Columbia where the slopes are (very) obvious, rather than one of the prarie states where my wonky horizon would soon find me out!

Best wishes,

Andrew

Thanks Chaps,

I'm blessed living here... I know the hills aren't Scotland or the Lakes, but they're quiet and unspoilt. You just have to work harder at getting decent shots, that's all.

I always appreciate your kind words.

Like this Andrew. Super sky. Surely if you straighten the horizon all the trees will lean!!!

I love this shot, straightaway I said 'wow, Exmoor' - ok, not quite correct, but near enough! Knowing the area, the sloping hill looks totally correct to me and preferable to the horizontal, but that's insider knowledge for you... Congrats for perfectly capturing the spirit of the place.

Somerset is a lovely county and you photograph it beautifully. Don't beat yourself up about your wonky horizons, In this photo I'm sure the hillside in the distance isn't supposed to be level. I'm famous for my non-vertical verticals but what do I care.
