yes, they're wonderful to watch, even if you don't get a pic! but they seem quite relaxed about people - probably due to the hundreds of 'twitchers' usually around the place.
This - and all the ones on my flickr pages - were taken at the Northamptonshire site Danny talks about in his posts - he's planning another trip on Monday 16th Jan with his monster 600mm! - see in the meetings section.
Highest count showed there were 22 owls active in the area! - it's managed my the hawk and owl conservation trust.
