One of my favourite local scenes, which I also use as a test shot.
This one was taken with the Cosina 28-210mm on the K-r and (IMHO) is comparable to the shot I took last year with the DAL 18-55 kit lens under similar light conditions ?

I believe you had better sunlight then, but you have better water fowl this year.
Both good lenses all the same.
Wish I had local scenes as nice as this.
