Taken from a position lying on the net underneath the bowsprit and above the water in front of the bow. Not a good place to be for one with vertigo, but worth it!!

I'll stop there and admit to cheating. The crew gave me a diagram showing all of the sails (42 in total) with their names in English, German and French!

Wow, amazing. I ask as I'm currently reading Patrick O'Brian's series for a second time of Captain Jack Aubrey - starts with Master and Commander!
