Portal to the Wild

A portal through the corridor of wild native wooded O Brook, as it descends Ryders Hill to the River Dart, far below. These are trees remnant. descendants of the ancient Dartmoor Forest. It's likely the trees would have been plentiful across the moor here before the 'tinners' deforested much of this hanging valley to smelt their mined ores .

Well captured image: good viewpoint, perspective, freezing of water motion, diagonal tracking of the stream changing direction whilst leading up and into the image. The small amount of yellow gorse adds much to the overall picture.
All five minute jobs take a minimum of eight hours!

Many thanks for comments I was very fond of the combination of elements here and particularly liked the splash of yellow from the gorse. It is always a joy to spend time exploring aspects of this wild brook.
