I remember the fuss when they replaced the original pipes with yet more, albeit smaller, pipes. Lovely spot.

If you look to the right you will see a large pipeline coming down the mountain. That feeds the water for the hydro electric station, cleverly disguised as a church. Opened for business in 1906 and substantially revamped, including a new pipeline, in 1988. link
Mind you with the feed in tariff, perhaps it would be good to own it!
