Just reviewing my recent Lake District jetty images - thought I'd try this one in black and white, quite liked the angle of this jetty...

Hmmm, top right looks more burnt out than on my screen, I was grappling with that most of the day, tricky!

Don't worry about the Hmmmm's a very famous artist said," I can only draw what I see" you got it AS IT WAS!! regards Ron

Off course we all remember the mid tone!! but that's usaully grey and boring! I think I'll take pictures of the cans of beans in my pantry... and get famous! Andy who?

Try cropping just below the burnt area. The composition works better that way for me too.

I agree with Ron, I like the picture very much, the lightness does not detract from the main picture for me, but thats only my opinion. Well done.
