Waiting to attack

My wife and I where having a picknick in our backyard . It was getting towards the evening and above us on a Gum Tree branch sat a Kookaburra . Waiting for us to look away so he could sweep down ant take a bit of sausage from our plates.
We did him the favor and looked away from him and it took about a second before he grabbed the sausage we left him.
