Under the railway
by Stu-D
I am wanting some constuctive critism on this photo please. I normally take landscapes but wanted to create a gritty urban photo. The underpass has two lanes separated by vertical metal bars and I wanted to include the prison like feel of these and the way it affects the light coming through.

No criticism from me: just my sort of venue! Interesting use of light and colour.

I tend to agree with Stephen. You might even get closer to the effect you want by converting it into black & white.
I look forward to seeing the updated version.

I have uploaded a B&W version now to http://www.pentaxuser.co.uk/photo/b-w-version-of-under-the-railway-15618 (I cant work out how to update the version on this thread).
I think I prefer the colour version. It was taken in Knaresborough which isnt a very gritty place, so perhaps that is why there is no grit - there wasn't much 'grit' on location!
Thanks for your comments
