Great chiaroscuro ambience. Delightful flowers as they carpet woodlands and the earthy banks of green lanes and countryside roads 😁 The flowers and leaves are so great to cook with or ferment into a garlic pesto👍

Thank you Giulio and Phil. They are indeed useful for cooking - although I'll pass on the pesto. Oh, don't eat them raw (e.g. in a salad) as they really upset your tum!

I didn’t know WG flowers could be cooked. I‘d be curious to taste it. At home usually we eat raw leaves pretty finely cut then mixed with olive oil, grated parmeggio, fried pine nut, salt and paper. Just delicious !..

In Slovenia they pickle the flowers in a traditional brew of some sort and pack them densely in jars. I tried it. I won't try try again!
