I must say, I was pretty chuffed with this one.
Having read that a 300mm lens was a good 'un for snapping insects whilst keeping a way off in order not to disturb them, I decided to try my 55-300 with 12mm of extention tube....
& it works!
Just one point should you wish to have a go: be sure to set the focal length before taking any shots.
This sets the shake reduction to the correct level for the lens. I didn't & quite a few of mine suffered accordingly!
