Framed well, with lovely subtle light and bokeh, in a good composition. Like.

Many thanks LennyBloke and go4IT for your kind comments.
I've always felt that one function of this Gallery should be educational - to help other users understand how the posted image was obtained and then learn from both successes (and failures) ! So here is my 'confessional' as to how the light, exposure and bokeh were obtained -
1. I used the 'old trick' of under-exposing by one stop since detail can be 'pulled' out of darker areas in PP but 'blown out' areas are lost forever.
2. I set the K70 on Av and f/8 to control the depth of field with the AF set to spot focus. Since this was shot at full zoom of 135mm this gave the bokeh.
3. I used PaintShop Pro 2022 to adjust the brightness and contrast and tweek the sharpness before re-sizing for posting.
4. Luck came in by having a very friendly robin who posed for me whilst I took several shots !
Hope this helps ?
Best regards
Peter
