Creature Feature: Phantom of the Web

by Wildwood512

Although I am not a fan of spider gazing, I however could not look away from this amazing creature. He set up camp under a bright light on my porch. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't his hind end facing the camera look like a face with hair, mustache and beard. Bizarre!!!

Now that IS a hard one to capture. I know - I've tried and failed.
I like the dramatic treatment of it too. Thankfully, the 'death's head' motif will only be of (brief) interest to its prey.

Thanks, Giulio!😀

David, thanks for the nod in snaggin' this guy. He has set up camp on my porch three nights in a row now....new web every night! In general, spiders creep me out, but that 'death face' just mezmorizes me! 😯
Cheers...Donna 😊
