I'm not sure what the effect used is meant to achieve but to me it has ruined an otherwise nice photograph

I can see this as an LP cover though.

D -You have control of the final image - thats the whole point. The ORIGINAL image is the canvas on /with imagery artists produce their FINAL image. Sometimes a tweak, sometimes major transformations. This image stands alone from others in the series. It is derived FROM the original image, not a comparison to the original. - I like your movement away from beautiful photographs to interesting imagery art. ( think works by Maria in this gallery). IMHO,It doesn't matter how you get to the image, just get to one that pleases you.
Keep em' coming. V.Nice, with album cover possibilities. - T

This would work very well as a CD cover if it were in a square format.
As Stan says, the lovely girl image is ruined but as a piece of graphic art it is a very different proposition, as noted by Tony.

I also feel that you haven't done Brooke any favors with this one Donna however, I'd love to see the original!

Paul, this is a rendition of the first photo in this series titled, "Brooke: The Muse of Music - Ukulele 1". I cropped it tight and did some creative editing to it. You can thus go to my portfolio to see the original! 😊
Cheers...Donna 😊
