Sunsets always look good before you photograph them, very few look so good after the picture is made. This one though stands the test. The use of the long lens to make the setting sun huge in the image coupled to a strong forground shape is the key to the success of this eye catching photo.

PS I've just read the EXIF, it says the lens was 50mm. Did you crop this a lot to get the sun so large in the frame?

Thank you, Noel and Harry! very flattered! David-I myself was surprised to see this information in the EXIF! apparently it was caused by incorrect use of multiple 2x converter from Sigma .. Thank you!

Beautiful shot Gary. I've seen enough sunsets to ast be a lifetimje, but this is special. Just straighten the horizon, though, will you?!
