Thanks very much...don't want to overdo them as appreciate a bit of a niche...but they do add a bit of transport variety to what is largely a landscape/travel/wildlife oriented site!Nice.

I really like this lens...got it a about 3-4 months ago from SRS Used section...great condition and superb optical quality.
It does however have its weaknesses...PF can be awful at times wide open...even at f/4 as well.
It's main downside though is its refusal to auto-focus at anywhere near infinity when paired with the K-5IIs unless using centre point only. Won't play with 5 or 11 point AF selected. It's ok at closer distances out to about 25-30 metres.
I won't be parting with it anytime soon though as its the best quality lens I've had the pleasure of using so far.
Luckily I don't mind MF...grew up with film SLRs and much of what I shoot is at infinity or close to so only minor tweaks to focusing needed anyway and centre spot AF is adequate for much of the time anyway.

Yes agree I agree with you're points about the Lenses weakness but you have figured out already how to play to its strengths. I will never sell my own copy as optically it is superb when one is used to it, despite reviews.
It makes a fantastic close up lens as well with beautiful render, nicer than macros in many cases IMHO.

Agree with your comment about close focus performance...it is very good.
