I like the framing concept but I would have cropped out the righthand side to exclude the sky and draw the eye more to the distant features in the centre.

However, that's just my opinion and it IS a nice take.

Peter, thank you for the feedback. I agree with you 99%. I have a copy cropped as you have suggest and in most ways it is a stronger image. However I found I stopped seeing the steps, it entertains me having the steps going up to their own "doorway" I do agree having the second opening does distract from the main image.
