Incredibly difficult capture but so well executed Tom; The bird is so small and so fast in flight , "keeping the bead on it" is such a challenge.

It would be interesting to know your focus settings such as;

1. Focus Hold - low, medium or high
2. Focus field, - spot focus, multi point etc
3. Focus mode.
4. Drive mode.

As I commented before though, lens and camera settings are important but skill of the photographer is the biggest factor for such a shot, and you definately demonstrate that consistently and repeatedly. It is simply another great shot and another example of your skills.
