Sage window cleaner

by davidtrout

After my previous mono posting of the window cleaners at The Sage, Gateshead, Jackitec wanted colour and Giving Tree thought the composition iffy. After a trawl thru the few frames I had I've now come up with this alternative version. Heavily Photoshopped to try and rescue some colour.

Red faces all round in this Pentax household. I have to agree this is a better balanced composition. I'm still not 100 per cent sure about the colour being better than the mono though. And I spelt aerial incorrectly. Hope there's no teachers viewing this.

Trust me, I am a black & white fanatic every time,
but have to agree with jackitec much more detail and the clarity of the smear on the glass is really striking - like it.

I like this one! The play on proportion is great. Composition I feel is stronger.

As for b&w or color, it's your call. I think either one.

Thanks for all your comments. Emily's criticism on the composition made me go back to all the pics I took to check it out and I reconsidered this one - and I've got to agree it's better than the first one I chose.
Just shows the value of forums like this - we learn from each other.
