Reflectamoth

Photo of the Week

Photo Information
This fellow landed on the ceramic hob (which was off, fortunately). I took a few handheld pictures and since it was showing no sign of moving I got the tripod out. I lightly crumpled a length of Bacofoil and propped it up against the kettle about 3 feet behind it and set the camera up almost at 'ground' level to make the most of the reflections. The lens is a Meyer Optik 100mm Orestor - hence the nice bokeh. Lighting wasn't easy as I didn't want it to fly off so it's available light and a 4 second exposure.

Wow. Thank you. That was a lovely surprise to start off the new week.

Wonderful photo.... congrats on POTW!
With that rather ethereal background, this could be some sort of flying machine from a science fiction film!! Love it!!
