Red Tractor

by johnriley

I was looking at some images I hadn't processed, from 2015, when I was using my first Pentax DSLR, the *istDS. I had forgotten how bold and striking the colours were. Maybe a bit too much sometimes, but they certainly give impact to the reds.

Striking reds John, good to see some of your past work with great clarity from the istDS and never to much in this day and age

I still use mine now and then. The clarity of its images is excellent. Your reds don't just pop. They explode.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Eye catching with the vibrant colours. Did you use RAW or JPEG in those days John?
I still have my * Ist DS but haven't used it in years. I always shot JPEG when I got it because I had just switched to digital. I wonder how it would perform with RAW images.

I have always shot JPEG, unless there was some particular reason to shoot RAW.

That's red alright, it looks as if its come from a tractor magazine advert of the 60's, wonderfully striking.

It's a classic image. Colour contrast is as good as it gets. My only dislike is the tannoy horn. Everything else in the image works but the horn is a distraction. Image would benefit from 98% to 100% if the horn is cloned out. Just an opinion on an otherwise top shot.

Best regards
