Given that the glass was probably spot on when they installed it, the regularity of the stresses shown in the patterns of each pane is quite remarkable.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Not sure the reflections have changed since day one. I tend to believe that the planes of each pane are the main determining factor in distortion patterns, and can see how the framing—and thus the plane—- of each pane can be “off” rather consistently due to consistent construction errors in applying the materials to which the frames attach. But I have not made a study of this subject and am just guessing. Of course variations “baked into” the glass at the factory also play a part in distortions, as do air temperature, pollution, etc etc. Some day I m going to study up on this subject.
