PS Waverley

by LennyBloke

The last seagoing paddle steamer in the world the PS Waverley passing by Brownsea Island and heading back into Poole. The buildings in the foreground are some of the National Trust and John Lewis properties on Brownsea, including the clock tower of Brownsea Castle.

Yes, it does make a lovely contrast.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Such a good combination of 'subjects' here.

The saying "Every picture tells a story" is as true as ever, without the few words attached to this photograph few people would have recognised what the subject is, or the location, those few words describing the subject and location have added a story to the shot, enriching it and taking it from a photograph of a boat, to a nicely composed shot of the Waverly with added information on the buildings in the foreground, and I like that.
