Project Decay 16 Months In
by johnriley
The month by month images are on Facebook, but here's a 16 month progress report on this long term experiment. How does the camera decay and how does nature integrate it into itself are the main questions. Also, what ecosystem evolves around the warm haven and shelter of this decaying piece of technology. The MG is bearing up well, but nature is now well and truly merging with it and making it its own.

It actually took quite a while to find a camera that was permanently dead but cosmetically sound as a starting point. I preferred it being a Pentax and I admit I'm curious as to just how long it can hold out. It's doing pretty well so far.
Best regards, John

It would have been interesting to put this side by side with a DSLR and see how they compaired!

I was thinking about this project the other day, and was going to ask what had become of the camera. It actually seems like it's in pretty good shape!
Would have been good to pop the camera in one of those petrifying wells, like the one at Matlock Bath!
Then when people say that Pentaxes are a bit stone-age, you will be able to prove them right
