Ye surely hinna been tae Kirkcaldy...where you'd find it's ca'd the 'Lang Toun'.
An mony a year syne, as a bairn, Ah 'guddled' mony a troot frae the Lothrie burn, yasin jist ma hauns!... Hae you ever been guddled Mister Troot??

Yes Aa've bin to K'kdy. Its doon the road frae Dumfermline. I wuz browt up to speak Geordie but I ken a Fifer when Ah heor win.
Never bin guddled.

Aye...a guid couple o' miles frae 'The Dumps'...The auld Scots Capital, frae 'mony years syne!
Whither Ye ken it or no' David...'Guddling for trout' involves standin in a river(burn), against the current, lookin for fish hiding under big stones/rocks and tickin their belly wi yer fingur tips in an attempt to lift them oot o' the watter.

I figured it was 'ticklin'. The only ticklin' I've been involved in had nowt to do with fishin'.
